The Farm Solutions vet and med program is a very easy to use (see our short Animal Health Video Guide ) addition to the Cattle or Sheep program. It is fully integrated to both and allows for easy tracking of withdrawal periods whilst allowing the farmer to make informed decisions about individual animals from their history profile.

Animal Health Software, Vet and Med Recording Software
Recording treated animals for ailments was never easier, from the entry of the drug and batch number details into the drug cupboard to the actual treatment of individual animals or group of animals. Even in a group atch of animals being treated with varied amounts of the same drug.
Finding a batch of animals that was treated 'today' couldn't be easier with a choice from multiple ways of searching to find the batch you want. If the treatment is to be repeated (ie a second dose at a future date) the group of animals can be sacved as a working list to be retrieved with one click on the future date. A reminder, if needed, can be set with the minimum of effort so that the program will warn you that it is to be recorded at that new date. This may be essential for Blue Tongue vaccine recording in Scotland where it has to be reported to ScotEID. Just a click of a button through the Vet & Med program of course.
Treating a hundred animals with a drug, only requires the typing of the date treated. Everything else is point and click. This includes finding the correct group of animals, taking them to Animal Treatments entering the drug used from the drop down menu and then saving it.
That drug treatment will then be saved to the animal health movement book listing ever animal's eartag, date treated, drug, amount used and the withdrawl periods. At any time you can click on a 'current withdrawal' button to view any animals that are currently on Withdrawal.
Not only can you inspect the drug used against which animals in the drug cupboard, but also in the animal health movement book and of course against the individual animal Movement card.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the system record Drug Withdrawal and have an easy look up?
Yes. When entering the purchase of Veterinary drugs that drugs Beef and Milk withdrawal periods are also recorded. This means that when you treat an animal or group of animals with a particular drug, the withdrawal is recorded against each animal. There is a “Drug Withdrawal” button which with 1 click will give you a list of animals currently on withdrawal.
If I try and record the sale of animals and an animal is on drug withdrawal, will I be warned?
Yes, a “soft” warning appears allowing you to decide whether or not to continue to sales. This allows the sale of cattle for instance that are not for the food chain and reminds you to pass on the information to the purchaser.
Can I scan the barcode of the bottle into the system?
Yes, if you have a supplier with a particular barcode system, give us an example and we will add it to your Animal Health package within 48 hours.
Can I record the application of medicines in the field or at the barn?
You can. Using our Farm App you can record any movement in the field at the market and send directly to your program.
Can I record batches of animals getting a treatment or does it have to be one at a time?
The drug treatments can be applied to groups of animals saving vluable time and effort.
How easy is it to find a group of treated animals and print out a report?
It is extremely easy. There are a number of ways to search for groups of animals, the easiest is usualy just point and click using the interactive fields in the movement book. To find for instance 120 Suckler Cows treated with say 'abcd' drug, on the 10/05/2026. On the list of all treatments click on any Suckler Cow under the beast type column, this now contrains the search down to all suckler cows ever treated. Now click on the date 10/05/2026. The list again is contrained to all Suckler Cows tretaed on 10/05/2026. If necessary you can now click on 'abcd' drug and you now have the 120 Suckler Cows that you were looking for You can now print the list, export the list or put it on your desktop in PDF format all with a single click."
Can I report treatments to ScotEID?
Yes, reportable treatments such as Bluetoungue Vaccinations can be sent directly to ScotEID with one extra click of a button. A few moments later an aknowledgement will be received and kept on your records.
Can I record non Livestock as needed by Farm Assurance such as my dog wormimg?
Yes. Non tagged animals and working dogs, pets etc can have recordings made and kept as required on the system.
