Since 1998, Farm Solutions has been providing farmers with livestock management software that is practical, reliable, easy to use, and competitively priced. Our journey began in November 1997 at Kirkton Farm, Aberfoyle, where the first working version of our cattle movement recording system was developed before being launched commercially in early 1998.
From the very beginning, our goal was simple — create software that any farmer could use confidently, regardless of computer experience. That philosophy led to the development of our straightforward “point and click” system, centred around the Farm Control page where everything begins.
For example, recording the birth of a calf is quick and simple. From the Farm Control page, users simply click “Record” and then “Calf Births”. From there, the program guides you through the process using easy menus and dropdown selections for breed, dam, sire, and other details, with only minimal typing required.
As farming regulations and technology have evolved over the years, so has Farm Solutions. We continually update our software to meet changing livestock record-keeping requirements and industry standards, while also listening closely to feedback from our customers. Many of the improvements and features within our programs have been developed directly from farmer input, helping us create software that remains both compliant and genuinely useful in day-to-day farm management.

That is why our support team is available 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, using standard-rate telephone numbers — not expensive premium-rate lines. In addition, our remote backup service helps protect valuable farm records without the hassle of managing backups yourself.

Getting started is easy. Once your farm is registered, your livestock records can be downloaded directly from BCMS through CTS Online or in Scotland through ScotEID. We will then upload your cattle data into the Farm Solutions program and provide full telephone and remote-access support whenever you need it.
