Your cattle record keeping with BCMS (CTS) or ScotEID is important, however it does not have to be a dreaded chore. In matter of fact it can not only quick and easy but give you an insight into much of your farm.
Not only is the Farm Solutions Cattle Program extremely easy to use by way of the menu driven screens (point and click) but it is set up to give easy access to reporting about any aspect of your farm.
For those that purchase animals, the passport scanner pages can save hours of work, as indeed does the market csv import system. Equally so does the import from your market sales or Abattoir sales, giving you finishing stats and profit stats at the click of a button.
We have many official functions that help too. Such as the audit button allowing near instant comparison with your records compared to those held by the governing bodies.
Frequently Asked Questions
I am not very confident with learning new things on a computer?
That's not a problem, from the very start with the program you will have personal help on a remote connection one to one basis. Not only to help you set everything up in the way your particular farm runs but also you can phone as often as necessary for us to come online to do the movement recording with you. Some farms will phone a few times a week for a few weeks, some will phone a few times a day until they have the confidence to use the system. Whatever you need is fine by us.
I like to look closely at statistics for purchases and sales of cattle, is there much scope for this within the Farm Solutions Cattle Program?
Yes. Whether or not you are a cattle trader or just like to keep every piece of information about your sales and purchases, the Livestock Program can do as much or as little as you want. There are onboard videos of exactly how to do that and of course friendly staff at the other end of a phone if preferred.
I am currently with another company, will I be able to keep all the cattle history from that program?
Yes, as long as you still have access to that program we would normally be able to bring all your livestock history across to Farm Solutions.
The last company I used had awful support. How difficult is it to get support for your software?
We are available 7 days a week and for 12 hours a day. Just a phone call away. Normally we will answer immediately or at busy times we will phone you back often within a few minutes.
Is your Livestock Software user friendly?
It certainly is. It was designed on a farm and we make regular changes and additions to the program from farmers suggestions. There is very little typing involved as it is menu driven (point and click)
